ISAlmex transforms Mobility in Lorca. Bus tickets can now be paid with EMV cards and Contacless devices.
In a joint announcement, the Lorca City Council, through your service manager Limusa, takes a giant step towards modernity: Now you can pay for city bus tickets with credit/debit card, mobile phone and Smart Watches with technology Contactless.
Although card payment is common in establishments, its integration into the bus network is less frequent. Therefore, this project developed by ISAlmex in close collaboration with Shift4 (financial-technological entity) acquires significant importance.
The new payment method does not depend on a POS, which helps the process to be carried out quickly and easily, without problems arising from connection to a network. It works thanks to NFC short-range wireless technology for greater user convenience, who only has to bring the card closer to the reader. It is a system EMV-Transit, specific for the passenger transport sector.
I use EMV card on board
The operation is very simple, once you have requested the ticket to buy, just bring your card or mobile phone (NFC required with any bank card associated with the mobile phone) close to the driver's ticket sales terminal, bringing it closer to the symbol. «Contactless» usual of any sales terminal.
Some cards or contactless payment methods do not allow offline transactions. (which is the system used in our terminals), that is, without communication with the bank.
Check with your card issuer or your bank if you have any problems when paying by bank card on the bus.
