Modernize Check

He Modernize Check It is an aid for the modernization of private transport companies. It belongs to the incentive program promoted by European funds Next Generation EU which aims to increase the efficiency of road transport companies through digitalization, renewal and introduction of new technologies in the sector.

Who can request it?

Private legal entities that are included in the definition of SME in accordance with the provisions of Annex I to Commission Regulation (EU) 651/2014, of June 17, 2014, as natural persons, when, in both cases, they meet any of the following conditions:

  • Have an authorization for discretionary public transport of passengers by bus, identified with the VDE code,
  • That provide public urban transport bus service and are exempt from obtaining VDE, MDPE or MDLE authorizations.

Each recipient will be able to choose up to two modernization solutions from those that are eligible based on their size and type of activity.

What does ISAlmex offer you?

ISAlmex is Modernization Solutions Provider, authorized to manage the Modernize Check.

As Modernization Solution Providers, we will guide you in the digital transformation process of your company, implementing the technological solution most appropriate to your specific needs, with the aim of improve positioning and competitiveness of your business, facilitate management of the fleet and provide a better user experience from service.

The financing of these solutions is framed within the Modernization program for private companies (self-employed and SMEs) for road passenger and freight transport, regulated in the Royal Decree 902/2022. This program is part of the investment 4 of component 6 of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), Sustainable, safe and connected mobility (Next Generation EU funds). 

We have available three of the eligible categories. These systems can be obtained as separate modules or as an integrated suite that covers the following functionalities:

Implementation of SAE systems

Installing an SAE system that includes the necessary hardware and software

Category 5

Destined to:
VDE holder and BUS urban transport company.

Eligible actions:

· Vehicle geolocation through GNSS and vehicle positioning visualization tools (GIS, etc.).

· Driver management (notices, corrections).

· Message console.

· Consumption indicator reports, driving style, maintenance and inspections, etc.

· Vehicle control and maintenance (telemetry sensors).

· Data management coming from the smart tachograph second generation.

· Automation of file generation and maintenance or data files for publication in the Multimodal Transportation NAP (National Access Point), regulated by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2017/1926 of 31 May 2017, supplementing Directive 2010/40/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the provision of information services multimodal journeys throughout the Union.

· Training on the use of the systems. The courses will include practical sessions on using the system. Likewise, training will be included in the management of the data generated and its publication in the Multimodal Transport NAP.

· Discharge management in the NAP of Multimodal Transport of the corresponding data file or files generated for this purpose, making the communication, through the portal «https://nap.mitma.es/» or email address «nap@mitma.es», of the URL address where the automatically updated file is located and the Multimodal Transport NAP system can access it.

· Price up to 3 vehicles:  9.300 €
· Price for more than 3 vehicles up to 10 vehicles:  6.750 €
· Price of more than 10 vehicles:  5.250 €

Maximum eligible:
· Companies up to 3 vehicles:  3.000€
· Companies with more than 3 vehicles up to 10 vehicles:  7.000€
· Companies with more than 10 vehicles:  12.000€

Passenger transport services

Category 7

Destined to:
 VDE holder and BUS urban transport company.

Eligible actions:

· Software licenses or web subscription for two years, including those that are necessary for the use of counting devices.

· Installation of sensors in vehicles.

· Installation of counting hardware (e.g. loops) or the estimation (e.g. video analysis cameras) of passengers.

· Integration/communication with other internal systems such as SAE, the Control Center, etc.

· Improving the dissemination of information on services, routes and stops through digital tools, and development of own digital tools for this purpose, which includes the generation and maintenance of the data file or files for publication in the Multimodal Transport NAP, in accordance with Delegated Regulation (EU) 1926/2017, through consulting services.

· Training for the use of implemented hardware and software tools, as well as updating the data generated for submission to the Multimodal Transport NAP. Likewise, you must be trained in the use of tools to reduce costs and optimize operations.

· Management of registration in the NAP of Multimodal Transport of the corresponding data file or files generated for this purpose, making the communication, through the portal «https://nap.mitma.es/» or email address «nap@mitma.es», of the URL address where the duly updated file is located and the Multimodal Transport NAP system can access it.

· Price up to 3 vehicles:  8.550 €
· Price for more than 3 vehicles up to 10 vehicles:  6.000 €
· Price of more than 10 vehicles: 4.750 €

Maximum eligible:

· Companies up to 3 vehicles: €5,000 or €6,000 (if passenger counting system is included)
· Companies with more than 3 vehicles up to 10 vehicles: €7,000 or €9,000 (if passenger counting system is included)
· Companies with more than 10 vehicles: €10,000 or €13,000 (if passenger counting system is included)

Ticketing system improvements

Hardware implementation for new monetary and ticketing systems

Category 9

Destined to:
VDE holder and BUS urban transport company.

Eligible actions:

· Implementation or expansion of hardware for new monetary and ticketing systems as a desk, validator/canceller for EMV type cards, contactless smart cards and NFC readers on board vehicles, at stops or in stations, vending machines for the sale and issuance of tickets, etc.

· Software licenses or web subscription for two years to use the monetary and ticketing system.

· Update or integration with other systems internal software of the current system.

· Service consultancy for the implementation of a new ticketing system.

· Training on the use of ticketing management equipment and programs. The training must include practical sessions on the use of the tools once integrated, as well as information sessions that allow maximum use of other technologies that allow improving the service provided.

Price (*):
· Price up to 3 vehicles:  6.150 €
· Price for more than 3 vehicles up to 10 vehicles:  5.200 €
· Price of more than 10 vehicles: 4.650 €

· Companies with more than 3 vehicles up to 10 vehicles: 5.000€
· Companies with more than 10 vehicles: 7.000€
